Calvin: still hot at 500

Interesting article in The Times.

The point that:

“the New Calvinists [are] a generation of young Evangelicals thirsting for back-to-Bible basics”

…is a good one. That’s what the movement (and the theology behind it) is all about.

    I’m still not sure what’s wrong with the old Calvinists… They seemed alright to me.

      Hehe… Yeah, although the New Calvinists are meant to be more cuddly, less red-in-the-face.I hope that’s true.

    Well Tim, the difference is that the old Calvinists could often be described as people ‘thirsting for complex scholastic systems of predestinarian theology’. :)
